The journey is very scenic as we drive past lush green tea plantations and hilly landscapes. We'll take a lunch break in the country's tourism city before we proceed to Semuliki National Park, where we will visit the hot springs and enjoy a nature walk and birding.

Day Two

You will be treated to a delicious continental breakfast before we set out for the day's adventures. On this day we shall be visiting the Nyakasura caves, popularly known as "Amabere ga Nyina Mwiru." The caves are a beautiful sight to behold and the history surrounding their formation is extremely interesting. The caves also host a waterfall which acts as a beautiful photo backdrop.

Thereafter we shall visit the surrounding lakes, and a hike to the top of the hill between them gives a clear and mesmerizing 360-degree view of the lakes and the Rwenzori ranges in the distance.

We then retire to Fort Portal for lunch and transfer to Kibale National Park for the night, in anticipation of chimp tracking.

Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp

Meals: All meals and soft drinks

Day Three

Day three will be quite a strenuous day as we shall spend a good amount of time walking. After an early breakfast we shall report to the tracking point for briefing and soon start our chimpanzee tracking adventure. The journey through the forest is exciting as you encounter different bird species and other primates like colobus monkeys, L'Hoest's monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, and grey-cheeked mangabeys among others, as we search for the most famous inhabitants of the forest. The forest hosts the highest concentration of primates of any protected area in East Africa. Spend up to an hour with the chimps and head back to the lodge for lunch.

After lunch we shall head out for our nature walk through the Bigodi swamp. Be ready to spot various bird species such as the Great Blue Turaco. We shall return to the lodge later to rest and spend the night.

Accommodation: Kibale Forest Camp

Meals: All meals and soft drinks

Day Four

Wake up to the sounds of birds and primates and prepare to check out of Kibale National Park. After our early bite we shall embark on a 3 to 4 hour drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. We'll check into our accommodation, have lunch, and relax. The evening will find us on the Kazinga Channel as we watch the sun set, view several water birds, and see animals having a drink along the river banks. Witness the highest concentration of Nile crocodiles and huge numbers of hippos along the banks of the Kazinga Channel. We shall return to the lodge for dinner and a night's stay.

Accommodation: Bush Lodge

Meals: All meals and soft drinks

Day Five

We will wake up before sunrise and have breakfast, then set out to see the wide range of the park's inhabitants. A game drive along the Kasenyi trail will give you amazing views of animals like lions, giraffes, elephants, buffalos, kobs, waterbucks, and giant forest hogs among others. Feed your eyes on beautiful bird sightings such as the African skimmer, shoebill stork, African fish eagle, papyrus canary, black-bellied bustard, southern red bishop, yellow-billed stork, and various vultures. We shall then return to the hotel for lunch.

In the afternoon we shall do a crater lakes drive and visit the most famous Katwe salt extraction point and several other lakes. More animal sightings will be made, especially buffalos and elephants.

Accommodation: Bush Lodge

Meals: All meals and soft drinks

Day Six

Saved the best for last! On our last day of the trip we shall have a very early breakfast and drive to the southern part of the park, famous for the tree-climbing lions. Discover what this sector of the park has to offer and proceed to Kampala via Mbarara. A lunch stop in Mbarara and an Equator stop at Kayabwe for photos and souvenirs round out the day. Our trip will end in Kampala or with a drop-off at the airport.
